Everyone has a story to tell...
A lawyer by trade, I began my career at the age of 24. Ironically and almost instantly, I found myself frustrated by the antagonistic nature of the legal profession and the unconscious way so many people do business. I looked for answers outside-of-the-box.
Though I had no delusions of being able to transform an entire profession, I knew that real change must begin with me, and then extend outward to my family, community, organizations, cities, nations and the world at large. And I hoped that by connecting in more meaningful ways I would be part of the solution I sought.
Along the way, I studied art and took some photography classes, I read everything I could on issues of human rights, international relations and wildlife conservation. I started a monthly column in a local magazine, contributing photographs and writing articles about our relationships with the greater world around us. And I joined various animal and human rights groups--as a volunteer, board member and legal adviser--committed to finding global solutions.
Inspiration is a wonderful instrument of change, and I continue to look for unique ways to blend my business and legal interests with my passion for creativity, philanthropy, and value-driven social change. By definition that makes me a cultural creative.
Still, I roam. . .
